Rimor 545 from 1999

Messaggioda Christian8166 » 10/09/2024, 22:05

Hello, my Name is Chris, I work as Hard-and Software developer in Switzerland. I am a "New" Owner of Rimor 545 and have some troubless.

But first: I am very impressed about your work! CAN-Bus in the 90' was really the Future.

Now 25 years later and a not so intelligent Pre-Owner (He Cut some Bus wires and removed some Nodes) I have much questions and problems.

The background light of the Display as dead. I've replaced the two NPN Transistors, now it works.

The Water pump can not switched on/off and the Water level shows sometimes or not..... Like a wheel of fortune.

The PSU shows wrong voltage. On both batteries.

How can I switch on the SR+ on the PSU?

Some of the Nodes are missing:

-Temperature

-Bed light

-Main light above the table

-Fridge

-Heater

-Warm water

-Alert

Are they available as spare parts?

Is the PSU available too?

I have a Friend in Italy, so it's possible to send the parts at him.

Next idea:

The PIC was state of the Art on the 90' and 2000', but today are the ESP32 or ATMEL (Like Arduino) the better choice.

I will bring my Rimor in the new Time with ESP32... With MQTT and connecting to Nest or OpenHab. Yes, I'm crazy.

Is it possible to get CAN description like Baudrate and PID's or the complete communication protocol?

Maybe the source code of the PIC too?

NDA was ok for me.

Thank you very much for your answers!

Kind regards, Chris

Hello

Sorry but many parts on your system are discontinued and we can't send you the request info for our system.

We can send only a new led control panel and a new charger (to change your AL300).

For prices please send a picture to Assistenza.tecnica@arsilicii.com

OK, that's not so good for me :-(

What options do I have to bring my Rimor back up to date?

Is there a retrofit option?

Have you programmed the PICs with read/write protection? If not, reverse engineering would not be a problem.

I think it's a shame that you don't release the data for EOL products. Especially if there is no successor solution.

Basically, the whole thing is not rocket science and since I have the necessary resources for reverse engineering, it just takes a little more time.

But then I would make this available to everyone on GitHub. But that would certainly not be in your interest.

How do I activate the SR+ on the PSU?

Ok, a me non va tanto bene :-(

Come attivo SR+ sull'alimentatore?

Hello

We have the parts to solve the problems on your system. Only lights node is discontinued and you need to conenct the lights direct to 12V.

Please send me the photo of your broken devices to assistenza.tecnica@arsilciii.com and we send all informations.
